Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Grounded ("Service", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Grounded, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who We Are
Grounded is an AI-powered interview coaching and resume building platform operated by Justin Goh as an individual. We are based in Singapore and operate under Singapore law.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Grounded. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has consented to these Terms.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
- Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Service Description
Grounded provides AI-powered tools including:
- Mock interview practice with real-time voice analysis and scoring
- Resume analysis, optimisation, and Harvard-format PDF export
- AI-generated coaching feedback and rubric evaluations
- Body language and posture scoring via camera (optional)
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Free tier
Limited features are available at no charge, subject to usage quotas described on the Pricing page.
Pro subscription
- Paid subscriptions are processed via Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled.
- You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Prices are in Singapore Dollars (SGD) unless otherwise stated and are inclusive of applicable taxes.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you experience a technical error that prevents you from using the Service, contact us at [email protected] and we will assess your case individually.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulation.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the Service.
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use automated means (bots, scripts) to access the Service in ways that breach these Terms.
- Share account credentials or allow others to use your subscription.
7. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses large language models (LLMs) to generate coaching feedback, resume suggestions, and scoring. You acknowledge:
- AI output may contain errors, omissions, or biased content.
- AI suggestions are for guidance only and do not constitute professional career, legal, or financial advice.
- Never misrepresent your experience, qualifications, or credentials on a resume. Fabricating information is fraud. Employers verify credentials, and false information can result in immediate termination or legal consequences. Grounded takes no responsibility for how you use AI-generated content.
- Interview coaching feedback is a simulation and may not reflect actual recruiter behaviour.
8. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload (resumes, audio recordings, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process, store, and analyse it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
We do not sell, share, or use your personal content to train AI models without your explicit consent. See our Privacy Policy for details.
9. Intellectual Property
All software, design, branding, and content created by Grounded remain our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written consent.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates third-party services including Google (OAuth), Stripe (payments), Groq (AI inference), and Resend (email). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any AI-generated content.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, Grounded and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for direct damages shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) SGD 50.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Grounded and its operator from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to other users or the Service. You may delete your account at any time from account settings.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7–13 survive termination.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice in the Service. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
